The village
This past week I have begun to spend more time in the villages surrounding Umarkhed and the college, and it’s been eye-opening. There are many issues that India faces that are very pronounced in the villages, such as child labor, education, sanitation, the life of women and the myriad problems that surround farming. Despite all these problems, life in an Indian village can also be very peaceful and beautiful.
